What are API Nodes?

API Nodes are natively integrated nodes in Comfy that can call paid model APIs like Veo2 or Flux Ultra.

To many people, ComfyUI is an automation engine that helps you accomplish a creative task. Creatives care about achieving the best result, and this includes using non-local models.

We launched GPT-Image-1 as an API node last week, and the immediate feedback was simple: please add more models. The team has been working hard since then, and we are thrilled to announce support for 10 more model families and 62 new nodes.

We charge the same as the original price for each API. For detailed information about pricing or a complete list of nodes, please read our docs. Email support@comfy.org with any issues or bugs.

Using API nodes is completely optional, and ComfyUI will always be free and open-source!

Coming soon

  • As part of this launch, ComfyUI also added first-class support for a VIDEO type. There will be more optimizations coming.

  • Bring your own API key. Many users have their own API keys with existing credits and you should be able to use them.

  • Parallel execution within a workflow. This will bring speed improvements to any workflow that has external API calls or non-GPU actions.

ComfyUI New Branding

With this release, we’re also rolling out a new look—logo, colors, and all.

The wordmark is made of connected blocks, a nod to the graphs at the heart of ComfyUI, and the tilt brings in a touch of 90s anime and Y2K energy that shaped our early days.

The new colors are bold and confident. We wanted something that still feels playful and true to our roots—but also reflects what ComfyUI has grown into: a serious creative tool, used in real pipelines, built to last.

The heart of ComfyUI hasn’t changed. It’s still open. Still hackable. Still yours.

Enjoy creating today!
